I haven't posted lately because I was working on a project. The photos were part of that project.
I read somewhere that when Shunryu Suzuki was asked to summarize Zen in three words, he responded: attention, attention, attention. And Thomas Merton wrote: "It was Buddha's aim not to give a 'final' speculative answer but to be free from all theories and to know by experience . . ."
Both of these statements are significant in that they tell us to get beyond language and presuppositions and to see into the heart of things. I think photography can help us to move in this direction.
