April 30th, 20164/30/2016 I'm back from the cruise. This image comes from our return to the cruise ship from Chichen Itza--the best part of the trip for me. More images later . . .
April 18th, 20164/18/2016 I went to the symphony Saturday evening. The first image is the colonnade approach to the Mahaffey Theater; the second is from across the street from the Mahaffey; the building in the background is the Dali Museum.
Tomorrow I leave on a cruise, so I won't be posting for awhile. We'll see what sort of images come out of that trip. I will be visiting the Mayan ruins at Chichzen Itza in Mexico; I expect that to be the best day of the cruise with a good potential for interesting images. "The aim of art is not to represent the outward appearance of things, but their inward significance." Aristotle April 03rd, 20164/3/2016 "If we listen from the mind of silence, every birdsong and every whispering of the pine branches in the wind will speak to us . . . Most people nowadays seem unable to live without a 'sound track.' As soon as they're alone (walking down the street, driving, sitting in a bus or train,or stepping out the door)--or even with their coworkers or their loved ones right in front of them--they try to fill up the tiniest bit of open mind space right away. If you decide to do just one solitary activity in true silence, whether it's being in the car, making breakfast, or walking around the block, you will be giving yourself a break from the constant stream of stimuli." Thich Nhat Hanh
