February 18th, 20212/18/2021 I'm reading a book (with a title I think is intriguing in itself}: "Seeing is forgetting the name of the thing one sees." It is about the artist Robert Irwin. Here are some of his comments:''
"Art exists not in objects but in a way of seeing." "The presence of anything of something, anything, everything is untainted. The ordinary could we but see it, is as extraordinary as the highest consciousness imaginable." "Who cares about virtual reality—there's all this reality, incredible, inexhaustible, astonishing reality—present all around!" February 11th, 20212/11/2021 A couple of days with morning fog—which I like. For me, fog is suggestive and productive of images and intuitions of . . .?
February 04th, 20212/4/2021 Sue Monk Kidd: "What has happened to our ability to dwell in unknowing, to live inside a question and coexist with the tension of uncertainty? . . . What has happened to patient unfolding, to endurance? These things are what form the ground of waiting . . . the seedbed of creating and growth—what allows us to do the daring and to break through to newness.
Creativity flourishes not in certainty but in questions." February 01st, 20212/1/2021 Robinson Jeffers:
". . . the image of the pristine beauty Lives in the very grain of the granite, Safe as the endless ocean that climbs our cliff.—As for us: We must uncenter our minds from ourselves; We must unhumanize our views a little, and become confident As the rock and oceans that we were made from."
