The Museum of Art has a Rodin exhibit--this is one of the figures in his Burghers of Calais (Jean d'Aire). With the English at their door, the leaders of Calais made a deal with them. Six of their citizens would give themselves up to the English if the city would be spared. This is one of those six on his way to the English.

After a long session yesterday with a Spectrum tech, I finally have a new email and will begin the long process of notifying people. So perhaps I can finally settle down and enjoy my new computer.

It's been nearly a week since I bought a new computer and I still have no email. I've talked to three or four techs at Spectrum and no one has figured out what is wrong. I'm giving it one more try today and then if it doesn't get fixed I think I'll just try life without email. I lived without it most of my life; I imagine I can do it again.

I have a new computer and struggling with it. So this is an attempt to see what I can (and can't) do with it now. I hope to get better at it eventually, but it will take time.
