Well, that may all be too autobiographical, but it is also accurate (or so I think). Sorry, reader if you are offended by it (I once repeated that last quotation above to someone who was very offended by it, so I have some experience with negative responses to what is written there).
It's been a while since I've posted anything. No new photos; I've been reviewing old ones for a little book I've just published by blurb ("Fort Desoto State Park"). Enough advertisement; I've also been reminded lately of several comments (which have come to me literally at 3 o'clock in the morning which reminds me itself of one of those comments: "in a real dark night of the soul it is always three o'clock in the morning, day after day") that have been sort of lodestars of my belief system. Thus: "the test of a first-rate intelligence is the ability to hold two opposed ideas in the mind at the same time, and still retain the ability to function." And "This is what I think now: that the natural state of the sentient adult is a qualified unhappiness."
