I'm working on urban photography right now; this is the St Petersburg pier from a nearby waterfront park.
Last evening, as I sat on my porch, a late afternoon rain storm came up.
I listened to the rain on the metal roof,
watched the rain wash the plants in my garden,
smelled the air freshly cleaned by the rain,
even felt a few drops fall on my skin.
Thunder's low rumble dimming light
rain drops hanging on the ends of leaves:
I felt comforted, happy, and clearly, blessed
to be just here, in just this moment.
