High yesterday: 84 degrees--this year will be even hotter
Somehow (I wonder why?), I keep remembering William Butler Yeats' warning (in 1927):
Things fall apart, the center cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.
This sounds to me like a description of what 2016 was and awe-ful prediction of what 2017 will be . . .
