Selby Gardens in Sarasota are having an exhibit and sale of Costa Rican masks. These masks come from an ancient tradition of the Borucan Indians. They were originally made to ward off Spanish conquistadors. Since the (nearly lost) tradition of making these has been revived, there are several sorts of masks. This one is a Diablito (devil) mask, and comes from the festival, El Juego de los Diablitos (this information comes from the exhibit at the Gardens).
